Location Lembah Bujang

Lembah Bujang is land full of history and mystery yet to be uncovered. Many artifacts have been discovered over the pass few decades. In conjunction to this phenomena, a project to build a visitor interpretive centre is proposed. This project is the understanding and the analysis of the site context as a starting point. The interpretation of the site is to be translated in a sketch and, thus conceive a concept design in reference with the analysis.
The concept of my design narrates the folklore reside in the Gunung Jerai, the holy mountain to local community back in the past. in the past, history are not properly documented but instead passed down the generation through stories. There are stories about the beginning of the Old Kingdom of Kedah, the reign of a bloodlust king and the golden age of the kingdom. Passing down the generation, many of these historical events have been coated with more fiction than facts. The concept design translates this blurred line between fictional folklore and historical facts with spaces of obscured boundaries.
